I would read all day and never work again! First on my list to read is Amanda Montell’s “The Age of Magical Overthinking.” The phrase “magical thinking” is coined by the author and describes the psychological phenomenon of thinking that your feelings change facts. Montell is a linguist and writes with a healthy dose of whimsy. I’m excited to see how she turns stories from her life into wisdom on information literacy and avoiding self-delusion.

    I feel that first line deeply 😄

    Also, Montell is a great choice. In fact, linguists who can write with humor are a rare gift.

      I’m excited to see where she takes the book. I think I’ll find that creative non-fiction is the perfect fit for a linguist-writer 😁
